English was founded in 1997, and is located
in the picturesque village of Lucan
on the outskirts of Dublin.
A family-run school, Active English welcomes
students of all
ages and nationalities, and provides a comfortable
and flexible environment for learning, where each
student receives personal attention and care.
For students not from the area, accommodation
can be arranged with one of our hospitable
local families or help given to find self-catering
facilities.

of Education
and Science for the Teaching of English as a Foreign
Language.

Year round courses
are offered on a full-time or part-time basis.
(Minimum for part-time classes - two mornings
or two evenings per week.) Students are accepted
every academic week of the year, and are
tested on arrival to determine their English level
Maximum class size is 14 students but is usually
less.

Students from outside the European Union may need
a visa to study in Ireland .
